Parties are scheduled for an hour and a half. You may decide younger children need less time. On Saturdays, we schedule parties from 10:30-noon, 1-2:30 and 3:30-5 p.m. We are more flexible on other days of the week.
Types of Parties Offered
Tie-Dye T-shirts - Groovy! Fabulous, nearly-no-mess tie-dying. Shirt goes home the day of the party. $12 per person for youth-sized t-shirts, $15 per person for adult sizes. Minimum of 10.
Mosaic - Select a plaque to decorate, and we*ll guide you through the ancient art of mosaic. All supplies, including the grout, are included. Project goes home the day of the party. Prices begin at $16. Minimum of 8.
Paint-Your-Own Pottery - A really nice project for kids of all ages. Once items are glazed and fired in the kiln, they are food safe and dishwasher safe. Please note that since pottery must be fired in the kiln, all items must be picked up at a later date by the birthday party coordinator. There is a minimum of 10 for all pottery parties.
Options for Paint-Your-Own Pottery parties include:
Critters & Collectibles - The birthday child picks from "top shelf" items, while his or her friends pick from the lower shelves. Great for boys and girls, with lots of great items topick from. $12.50 each.
Ice Cream Bowl - They all scream for ICE CREAM! Everyone creates a bowl they can use! This is a great project for kids of all ages, boys and girls. $12.50 a person (these bowls are regularly $15).
Plaque with Add-On - Perfect for older kids and especially popular with "tweens." At this party each guest creates a one-of-a-kind plaque that is personalized with an add-on the guest chooses. $15 per person.
A $25 deposit is required at the time the party is reserved. A party is not reserved until this fee is paid. This is non-refundable.
Once you have made your reservation, you may reschedule one time. Please give a minimum of 7 days' notice. If you reschedule within 7 days, you may be charged $25. If you cancel, there is NO REFUND of your deposit.
For after-hour parties, there is a fee of $25 PLUS there must be $100 spent for every hour you wish the store to be open, with a minimum of two hours (e.g. 2 hours = $200, 3 hours = $300, etc.). You may have 15 minutes to set up and 15 minutes to clean up, which is not included in the time charge.
Party Rules
*At kid parties, no "poured" drinks!
Juice boxes, Squeez-Its and Capri Suns will all work.
Additionally, individually bottled soft drinks and water are acceptable. This also applies to the grown-ups attending a kid party.
*Party attendees must remain in the party room at all times.
*No food until after the craft.
*Ice cream must be pre-packaged in cups.
*Balloons must be transported in and out of DIYC by adults only.
